Students on the Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Computing attended a campus day on a Saturday in early May 2018.

In the morning they participated in a STEAM workshop based on adding the Arts to STEM subjects with input from a local teacher Stacey Ramm from Duston Eldean School.

Stacey shared highlights from a whole school STEAM enrichment week, including her introductory film using a combination of apps.

The group went on to develop their own STEAM ideas such as using programmable drones to think about the effects of changes in atmosphere on different planets.

In the afternoon Martine Mannion from Wellingborough School demonstrated the Cubetto screenless robot and Micro:bits for developing computational thinking skills in early years and primary.
