Academics and teachers from England, Denmark, Belgium and Norway met in early October to start to plan the Digital Learning Across Boundaries (DLAB) Erasmus+ programme for 2018.

Held in Fredrikstad in Norway, this first meeting kicked off the new programme which will focus on using digital technology and the creative arts in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics – known as STEM to STEAM.

Planned for 2018 are a total of three international activity days within schools, the writing of a STEM to STEAM MOOC to share educational ideas worldwide and the writing of several key academic publications.

Although the visit was short there was time to explore the town which was celebrating its 450th anniversary of being founded, marked by none other than a visit from the King of Norway, Halden V.
