On Friday 11 January, a delegation of the Kyungpook National University in South Korea visited the Bachelor of Secondary Education department in Howest to learn more about the DLAB project.
More specifically, they were interested in the art component of the STEM to STEAM project we set up last year.
We first had a lunch at Howest with several colleagues of our teacher training department and talked about the similarities and differences in STEAM education in Flanders and South-Korea.
In the afternoon, we went to the Middle School Bruges where our visitors could see the realisations of the pupils of the first two project days, for example sustainable houses and biodomes and where they had a chat with the principle of the Middle School and the teachers involved in DLAB.
The visit ended in Howest with a couple of interviews about the content and our involvement in DLAB.
