Another STEM to STEAM idea is focused on the myth of Icarus.
Maybe you know the story about Icarus who tried to escape Kreta by creating his own wings, but against advice flew too close to the sun and they started to melt?
Panamarenko is a belgian artist who’s obsessed with flying and the story of Icarus. He creates art, drawings, machines so people could fly like birds in the sky. He built a zeppelin, a submarine, balloons, etc.
We could let the children create their own wings. They would have to come up with something that is sunproof and it should be able to make people fly.
